The Cove Experience

Where personal training becomes truly personal.

After more than 20 years of working out in gyms, and over a decade of experience coaching clients, I've come to recognize that the biggest obstacles to achieving fitness goals aren't always the workouts themselves. Often, it's the environment in which those workouts take place.

Crowded facilities, waiting for equipment, distracting conversations, loud music you didn't choose, and spaces that aren't always as clean as they should be. For some, traditional gyms can also feel intimidating, especially when they're just beginning their fitness journey. These frustrations can interfere with progress, diminish the enjoyment of exercise, or discourage someone from ever stepping foot inside a gym.

I created The Cove to offer something different.

When I first shared my plans to open a gym, some people suggested I name it after myself. Others encouraged me to maximize the number of clients I could accommodate in the space.

But neither approach reflected what I wanted to create.

My goal was never to serve the most clients. It was to create the best possible experience for each one.

At The Cove, every session is completely private. No crowds, no waiting for equipment, and no distractions. Just you, your trainer, and a meticulously maintained space dedicated entirely to your progress.

Every detail is intentional. From the music playing during your workout to the equipment at your disposal, the environment is designed around your comfort, preferences, and goals. Whether you're an experienced lifter or stepping into a gym for the very first time, I want you to feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely excited to be here.

I wanted to create more than a place to exercise. I wanted to create a space where people could thrive.

A Simpler, Smarter Approach to Strength

My years of experience have also taught me something equally important: achieving meaningful results doesn't have to be complicated.

In an industry filled with conflicting advice, complicated routines, and endless exercise variations, I believe the foundation of effective strength training remains remarkably simple.

At The Cove, we emphasize fundamental human movements: squatting, lifting weight from the floor, pressing overhead, and other natural movements that build strength, muscle, and confidence.

These exercises recruit large amounts of muscle, allow for progressive increases in resistance, and deliver tremendous benefits when coached and programmed correctly.

Consider two very different clients: a 16-year-old athlete looking to build muscle and improve performance, and a woman in her 70s who wants to maintain her independence and move confidently through everyday life.

Both can benefit from learning to squat and deadlift.

For the athlete, these movements can develop extraordinary strength and muscular development. For the older adult, they can make everyday activities, like standing up from a chair or picking something up off the floor, easier and safer.

The movements may be similar, but the loads, programming, and progression are tailored to the individual.

Through years of studying proven strength-training methods and learning from respected coaches in the industry, I've developed an approach centered on mastering fundamental movements and applying intelligent, individualized programming to achieve meaningful results without wasting time.

That doesn't mean barbells are the only tools we use. The Cove also incorporates cable machines, cardiovascular equipment, and other training tools to accommodate individual needs and goals. But our approach is grounded in the belief that effective training should be purposeful, not unnecessarily complicated.

And Did I Mention Massage?

After all that hard work, there's nothing quite like a relaxing massage. That's why The Cove also offers private massage therapy exclusively to our personal training clients.

Because taking care of your body doesn't end when the workout does.

Fitness, Centered Around You

Ultimately, The Cove brings together two things I believe are essential to successful personal training: an exceptional environment and effective, individualized coaching.

No unnecessary distractions. No intimidating atmosphere. No complicated routines for the sake of complexity.

Just thoughtful coaching, proven training principles, and a private space designed to help you become stronger, healthier, and more confident.

Because personal training should be exactly that. Personal.
